traumatic events can have negative, lasting effects on health and well-being. These experiences occur in a child’s life before the age of 18 and effect a child into adulthood.
Children who are abused, neglected or exposed to traumatic events, are at higher risk for health problems as adults. These problems include alcoholism, depression, drug abuse, eating disorders, obesity, high-risk sexual behaviors, smoking, suicide, and certain chronic diseases.
TAG TALKS believes that as parents, we have a responsibility to protect our country’s children. Join us as we promote the positive care of our nation’s most vulnerable and give them the opportunity for a happy, healthy and productive life.
TAG is a nonpartisan devoted to spreading personal life stories worth sharing, usually in the form of short, powerful talks. TAG began in 2017 as a conference where Speakers agreed Transparency, Acceptance and Growth should converge.
Today TAG covers many topics — from life, business and global personal experiences — Meanwhile, independently run TAGx events help share Authentic Stories in communities around the world.
One Day of Powerful Talks
What is a TAG conference?
TAG stands for Transparency, Acceptance, Growth — three broad subject areas that are collectively changing lives. But a TAG conference is broader still, showcasing important ideas from any discipline, and exploring how they all connect. The format is fast-paced: 10 talks over the course of the day, as well as morning and evening get-togethers. As they take in the program, attendees and speakers from vastly different fields will spark inspiration in you from unlikely places. This is the magic of Personal Stories worth Sharing, of TAG.
